This week was a lot. It was a lot and Rey didn't appreciate the holding-spitting alligators because what did you even do with that? Sure, you smack goldfish away with a lightsaber or the Force, but come on.

Other things she did not appreciate:

* That her eyes bugged out like a cartoon when she saw said goldfish-spitting alligator
* That she said "what the help" when that happened

Plus she was just trying to get to her warehouse and there was a box ahead held up with a stick that was clearly attached to string, with a sign pointing to it reading "PUPPIES INSIDE."

Thor was back to himself, and not a moment too soon.

His students had been asked to meet in the Danger Shop, though they might have wondered why when they exited to find themselves in a classroom not unlike those available down the hall. Then they might notice the rain whipping the windows; the occasional flash of lightning outside followed by thunder loud enough to shake the room.

"Good morning," Thor said as he stood before them in his full Thor glory, Mjolnir sitting upon the teacher's desk. "I am Thor, the god of thunder, and if you are here you wish to learn more about the weather, and experience the glory of nature's fury." He was assuming, anyway. "And indeed, we shall do that together, but for today, I believe introductions are traditional, no?" Also he hadn't really had time to plan a class this week, what with the...everything. "Please, tell me of yourselves, and what brings you to my class."

Even if no one else had, the moose had taken inspiration from the gremlin's creative ~vision~ and today's class was the result.

As for the fact today's class was not taking place in the Danger Shop, but was rather starting down by the causeway, where a number of brightly coloured rickshaws awaited the class, well, Cara was sure they could find a way to blame the moose when it all went wrong.

"So, it looks like we're on another day of weirdness," Jane said. "But at least it works with class. In a way."

Why was there a blue turtle shell by those rickshaws?

Surely, its presence was a mere coincidence!

"Rather than have traditional introductions, we're going to have a race around the island, and then have you introduce yourself after crossing the finish line," Cara explained. "Normally this would be a terrible idea, but not today." Because today it was a hilariously terrible idea, which was a completely different thing entirely.

"Let's get to it.," Jane said, immediately slipping on a convenient banana peel. But in a very comedic way. Thanks, Fandom. Thanks.

The boob-ghost had left over the course of the week, at least, and Pam had let herself be lulled into a false sense of security.

That ended on Friday morning, as she watched the gremlins outside through the window. They had pulled a trampoline all the way down the stairs, to just to the side of her store. Now one of them appeared to be dragging in a... bowling ball?

She sipped her coffee.

A goldfish went flying past.

"..."

She was - had once been, sort of was again - a Gothamite. She should have something. But she did not. Besides the facepalm.

Everypony had had a great time, yesterday, right? If the answer was no, well, Friday was yet another new day, and everyone's bodies were back to their usual non-pony state.

But now mutant alligators were rising from the sewers. And for whatever reason - no one had been able to figure it out back in 2009 and no one was likely to figure it out now - the alligators also occasionally spat out mutant goldfish that had CHOMPY JAWS OF DOOM. Yes, the all-caps was important, somehow.

And surely that would be enough for one day?

Wrong!

Because Thursday had been whimsy/terror, and so Friday also had to exist on a similar scale, apparently, according to the island. So now physics itself was a little bit off. Gravity no longer had meaning as long as you didn't look down. You could stop a gun from firing if you stuck a finger in the gun barrel. If you ran away from someone - or something like say, an alligator, or its goldfish - and didn't look where you were going you could leave a you-shaped hole in the wall...

In essence: Looney Tunes rules.

Meanwhile, the island's ever-present gremlin population, who'd just been going about their usual business up until this point in the week, saw this all as their chance. They were deft hands with the cartoon rules, and would be springing so very moddable ridiculous ACME-brand schemes all across the island to try and trap people and bite them all throughout the day.

Had you ever had an honest-to-God anvil dropped on your head by a gremlin looking to chomp its teeth into you? Now was your chance!

[HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARY, GAME!

Still no cursing, still the option of seeing stuff like perhaps a classic gremlin bite play out.]

Belle was a pony. This made most library activities difficult for her but she was determined to still read something.

Finding a book she could open and turn the pages of with her hooves was difficult. So maybe she was just flipping through an oversized art book very awkwardly.

At least she was adorable as a pony? Such a pretty shade of blue!

So, what happened when a woman who could turn into a werewolf turned into a horse?

That was a good question, but Luma wouldn't have an answer to that, as she appeared to be completely unaffected by whatever was going on right now. It was still relatively unclear she had even noticed anything going on at all, in fact, or that she, like her sister before her, might have some sort of immunity.

(This immunity may be tied directly to the powerful nature of laziness and lack of time on the part of unseen forced, but who could really know for sure?)

She was just simply at work, as usual, and spending an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out what her thoughts on all these cowboy boots and snow gear that had arrived today were.

Thor owed Don a tremendous apology of some sort for making his first day of classes yesterday so...unbelievably difficult. He did know that. He would have hoped that his being a pony today, and having to tend bar with hooves, would have gone a great way in hilarity toward paying his debt, but unfortunately, Don was also a pony. In the void. Where the novelty of his form seemed to have drawn the attention of the void beasts that had long since stopped paying attention to him in his normal form.

"Are you well?" he checked in as he tried to figure out how to handle bottles with his hooves.

For now, was all Don said, which was rather less information than Thor would have liked.

A massive apology. Flowers were not going to cut it.

Lydia had had different plans for this week's Supper Club, it must be said, but, well. She was a pony. As were quite a lot of other people.

She had thought about canceling, especially considering the horrible monsters roaming the streets, but they had taken last week off for the break and she feared that if everyone got out of the habit Supper Club would fade into history. So she had painstakingly typed out a message on her phone (it was unclear how good of a job she'd done, considering she'd been using her hooves) letting everyone know to meet at the bakery instead. It had goods made with apples. Horses could eat apples. It seemed logical.

Look, she was doing her best here. Welcome to Supper Club, everyponyone!

Raiden, who totally had a black mane and tail and a backwards baseball cap on his head, despite his icon's tragic lack of same, had asked the students to meet him at Portalocity back when he'd assumed they were going to be, y'know, people-shaped this week. This morning he'd asked one of the gnomes to tape a sign to the door redirecting them to the park instead. Hopefully they wouldn't run into any trouble with the dinosaurs.

"Hey, everyponybody!" he greeted them once what he thought was his class was assembled. Had some random pony joined them? He had no way to tell. "I'm Raiden, and you signed up for Food Adventures! And we were supposed to start those adventures today, but, uh, I'm a pony." And probably some of them were, too. "And I couldn't reschedule our portal to anywhere with pony people, plus I don't know anything about their food." He would like to learn, though! "So instead we're going to introduce ourselves, and then explore our very own island! First I want you to tell me who you are, and a kind of food you'd like to try--either one you haven't already or one you want to know more about, both are good--and then your assignment for the week is to try something from one of the island's restaurants that you haven't before! If you don't have any money on you," because you were a pony, "just tell them to put it on Raiden's account. Okay? Great, let's get going!"

Well. Your teachers were ponies. Maybe some of the class was ponies too! But that sort of put a damper on the whole... baking thing. What with the lack of thumbs and all.

"Okay, so this week is a little crazy for the start of classes," Tony said, tail flicking in annoyance. "Hopefully you all avoided the dinosaurs just fine."

Steve, who couldn't throw a shield like this, was looking decidedly irritated. For a magical pegasus pony thing. "Baking will definitely be a challenge today," he said. "Making cakes is probably a little beyond us."

"So, we thought maybe microwaves?" Tony added. "We'll just go with an A plus grade if you manage something edible here."

"It'll be great!" Steve said with much more optimism that this deserves. "...we might give you homework for when all of our thumbs return."

"Just consider this an easy introduction to the class," Tony said. One where dinosaurs wanted to murder you and people were ponies.

Liz had managed to completely avoid whatever had been going on in Fandom this week and today was no exception and so far she was completely unaware of any type of invasion that might be happening outside.

She was hoping to get as much of a head start as she could on her admin work that morning, so she was focused on working on her spreadsheets and reports as well as answering the occasional email.

The snow monsters had come and gone. Now how about something more historical, one one hand, and whimsical on the other?

All across Fandom, various kinds of dinosaurs faded into existence. The carnivores thought humans looked like a nice snack. The herbivores thought humans... looked annoying, probably. Point was, all the dinosaurs seemed pissed at all humans they came across.

Oh, did we say humans? We meant humans and ponies. Yes, because while the island was dealing with a little jurassic get-together, some residents found themselves with four hooves and cutie marks. That should... mix well.

And you still couldn't swear without the words getting switched out for something nonsensical and inoffensive. But you could still end up seeing some old memory of perhaps whoever had happened to live in your apartment before you. Maybe they had had to deal with this no-thumbs thing in the past, too!

There was not a beautiful necromancer clad in the finest silks standing in front of the class today. There wasn't even a much younger version of said beautiful necromancer, back when she was a simple healing cleric, clad in soft linens. Nope. Instead there was a pony.

A very grumpy and disgruntled pony.

"Welcome to Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse," Liliana said, one of her hooves tapping impatiently against the floor. "Normally, this is where we'd do introductions, but those will do a fat lot of absolutely no good considering our current state." Which the island had chosen specifically to interfere with Liliana's class, she was certain of it. "So, we're pushing introductions off until next week and settling down to the meat of the matter." Oh, did you think you were getting out of a lecture simply because you were all ponies? Hardly. That was the opposite of Liliana's style.

Zombies, like cats, are the gods' perfect creatures )

"Over the rest of the semester, many of your classes will be assuming the scenario where your location has been overrun by zombies and you are trying to survive. This class isn't even specifically about how you can fight the zombies and live, but how to navigate a world where zombies and humanity clashed and humanity lost. And before anyone says that's impossible, I invite you to spend a few minutes on Grixis, which, funnily enough, would also be your general life expectancy if you did. That being said, zombies will be a major environmental hazard, and so learning more about them - especially if there is no sign of a controlling necromancer that you could try to take out - is one of the best ways to improve your odds of survival." How was a pony smiling? Who could say, don't even ask. "So today is an excellent day to ask question about how zombies work or to dispel certain erroneous myths and beliefs you may be carrying. Who knows? The answer you get today may be what saves your life next week."

Surely she was speaking figuratively. Surely.

The weirdness of the first couple of days seemed way more manageable now that Danny was dealing with phone calls about sentient, snow monsters attacking people at random. On the plus side, he wasn't a teenage. On the downside, the troopers all were.

This meant Danny was fielding all the calls as they were busy playing paper football or whatever the weird, space equivalent to that was.

"--Just stay indoors, okay?" Danny said, pinching the bridge of his nose to keep from shouting at people for going out and then complaining about how the snow was out to get them.

Erasmus had just been trying to explore the town! Maybe find out if the coffee shop sold sweet tea, like the goddess intended! But nooooo, he had to be attacked by snow monsters, and look, he knew he was in the North now, but it was September. It was (what he considered) a cool and crisp eighty degrees! This was downright unseasonable, in addition to being inconsiderate!

Luckily, he had one single, solitary shield charm in his pockets. Unluckily, it only lasted for an hour...and he was stuck where he'd been standing when he deployed said shield charm until it came down. So here he was, backed up against a wall, watching a snow...shark? Snow shark, sure, why not? Watching a snow shark batter itself against his shield and hoping that help came before his hour was up...or that he turned out to be way better at running than he thought he was.

"Probably should've worn sneakers instead of flip-flops today," he muttered to himself, checking his phone to see how many minutes he had left on that charm.

Harleen was just trying to get to the gym. Sure she was feeling a little bit disoriented, having woken up in a strange place with the weirdest dog she'd ever seen, but if she wanted to get that scholarship to GSU - which she desperately did - then she had no excuse for not trying to get in any and all training and exercise she possibly could.

Even in a town she didn't recognize.

Even if she saw --

"What the frick is that?"

And had she seriously just said 'frick'? This long after finally getting away from the nuns? (Okay, it had been like a year, but that was a long time in cursing years.) The thing that was clearly eyeing her from down the street had tentacles, and looked like it was made of snow, and surely that deserved something stronger out of her mouth than 'frick'.

"What the fudge."

The thing threw a snowball at her. Hard. Harleen yelped. Okay nevermind about the swearing! Time to try and duck for cover!

Don understood why he hadn't been impacted by the island's latest round of weirdness: he had never been a teenager in the first place. It would have been interesting to see what teenaged him would have been like, but, well. Apparently he was immune.

What he didn't understand was why Thor was affected despite not technically existing at present. It was a serious problem, considering that as a teenager, Thor had been a lot more hotheaded than he was as an adult, and he had absolutely no context for why he was trapped in the void, his only lifeline a mental connection to a total stranger. Naturally, he had concluded that Don was an evil sorcerer who had somehow captured him, and he wasn't happy about it. Don had been enduring threats to his person, both from Thor himself and 'when my father finds you,' all morning, and while Thor would have been more use against the snow monsters than Don was personally, he still wasn't about to do that. He had a class to teach, after all.

He took a fortifying sip of his very large coffee (which was secretly just straight cold brew concentrate today, because he deserved it) before addressing his class. "Good morning. I'm Dr. Donald Blake."

You are a foul sorcerer and I demand that you release me--

Don tuned him back out and continued, "And this is Health Education." If he sounded completely exhausted that was because he was. He'd spent fourteen hours in surgery yesterday and then been woken up early by Thor, who was going to owe him severely once he remembered himself. "I had a speech prepared about how I understand that introductions are gonna be of limited utility, because it's impossible for you to guide me toward what you need to learn, because you don't know what you don't know. But I don't remember it now, so let's just go with that. You don't know what you don't know, and that's okay. Some of you may not even know why you're in this class, and to that I say...don't worry about it. All will become clear in a few days to a week at most. Probably." Another sip of his coffee as Thor switched to trying to curse him out, followed by accusing him of hexing his speech as well as imprisoning him in the void. Maybe he'd just let him out after this. The void would be less stress.

"So. Introductions. I'd like to know who you are," even if some of you might be different next week. "Name, where and when you're from, and something about healthcare in your world of origin. We'll start with you," he said, gesturing with his travel mug toward a student at random.

The snow monsters were not the weirdest part of Jaina's day so far. The weirdest part was waking up in a house she didn't recognize but on the right island, with a couple of kids who said she was their mom and were freaked out that she was seventeen but not as freaked out as they could have been?

It was weird. But snow monsters, those she could handle.

So there she was, in the park, lopping off one head off a two-headed snowman with a lightsaber, which was a pretty satisfying effect, actually. There were definitely more coming, but one thing at a time.
